Development of new materials is of key importance to our Company, since our success is closely tied to the use of state-of-the-art materials available in the industry.
In our dimension and material measuring laboratory we conduct prototype, exhaust system, casting and carbon fiber product measurements.
The equipment is so accurate that it allows us to also measure control devices for the needs of the company.
We perform measurements using the Zeiss Contura scanning machine, the GOM Atos IIe measuring camera, the Romer Sigma scanning arm, and other measuring equipment that is available in the laboratory.
We often find ourselves in a position of having to conduct measurements on a motorcycle or an automobile. In such cases, we use the Romer mobile scanning arm which offers accurate measurements as well as mobility and simple use.
For the most accurate 3D measurements we use the Zeiss CONTURA G2 CMM coordinate scanning technology with a scanning area of: X = 1000 mm, Y = 2100 mm, Z = 600 mm.
For measuring, quality control, but mostly for reverse engineering we use the Atos optical system, with which we digitalize even the most complex shapes in an exceptionally short period of time.
The system offers a very clear comparison between the mathematical model and the product’s measurements.
The measuring camera records 1.4 million data pixels per second!
In this laboratory, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, we examine and evaluate all major material properties, and provide support to the titanium casting facility, the carbon fiber facility, production and support R&D activities.
Hardness and micro-hardness measurements, tensile properties, plastic properties and formability determinations are done on regular basis for all incoming and new materials in order to ensure the most appropriate materials of the highest quality are used in our various applications and products.
